A local library was tested for mold as it made repairs to a century-old roof.
Maria McCarville, director of Public Libraries of Saginaw, said Hoyt Library is in need of some renovations. The 128-year-old slate roof was found to be leaking, so crews conducted a mold test due to the excessive moisture found.
The results showed it was within normal limits, McCarville said.
The water damage is being taken care of and there is no danger to staff or patrons, she said.
