Authorities need the public’s help identifying a suspect in the robbery of a Mid-Michigan bank.

It happened about 3 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the Frankenmuth Credit Union at 2796 Erna Drive in Saginaw Township.

Investigators said a man walked into the credit union and gave a note to the teller ordering them to give him money. The suspect put the money into a backpack he was carrying and left the credit union in a dark colored Oldsmobile Alero, police said.

The man did not mention he was carrying a weapon.

The suspect is described as between 30 years-old and 50-years-old, 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes, a dark fleece coat, and a dark scarf across his face.

Police are not saying how much money was stolen pending the investigation.

Investigators said they do not believe the robbery was related to another robbery at Saginaw County Employees Credit Union.
